We are pleased to introduce you to the Firefighter Angel Foundation (FAF). This charitable organization began in 2008 as a program under the Chino Valley Firefighter’s Foundation. Over the years the FAF has continuously grown and now has an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. FAF obtained its nonprofit status in 2015.
Firefighter Angel Foundation is organized exclusively for the charitable purpose of positively impacting children in need and to support families in crisis. Our original event began with Christmas deliveries to families with children who have fallen on hard times or when crisis hits such as the loss of a parent, sibling or significant caregiver in the child's life. Each year, a volunteer Santa and Mrs. Clause are accompanied by volunteer Elves who arrive at the selected child’s home on a fire truck to deliver the wrapped gifts of toys, clothing, and toiletries specifically geared towards that child. These deliveries consist of a caravan of public safety vehicles to include several fire trucks and police cars. We recognize that a child is not an individual unit within a family so all school-aged siblings and the adult care provider(s) (parent, grandparent, etc.) within that household are also provided gifts as well. Additionally, we collect and distribute food boxes containing items that will make a meal during Christmas a little more enjoyable.
Firefighter Angel Foundation has expanded to other events and fundraisers throughout the year such including Stuff the Bus, Back to School Giveaway, Pancake Breakfast @ the Firehouse, and Gear Up Car Show.
